When Talk Therapy Doesn't Work: How to Release Emotional Pain Through Embodiment

You can talk about your pain and still avoid feeling it

You can know the roots of your pain and still avoid feeling it

You can understand your pain and still avoid feeling it

You can acknowledge your pain and still avoid feeling it

You can mentally “let go” of your pain and still avoid feeling it

You can forgive your pain and still avoid feeling it

It isn’t until you let yourself feel your pain that it will move through you.

When you choose to allow it, exist in the pure vibration, sense the energy moving through you, you stop blocking your pain from the path it wants to take – out of your body.  What traps it there is the stories, beliefs, shame, guilt, labels, and the battles we are ever waging against ourselves.

Emotions are physical, they are sensation, they are vibration. We know this both intuitively and in reality. That nervousness is a pit in your gut, anxiety a chokehold on your lungs, depression a weight in your limbs and heart.

It isn’t until you let yourself feel your pain that it will move through you.

If our bodies are not involved in the way we process these emotions in any capacity, we aren’t utilizing our natural ability to release.

Practicing embodiment (the radical act of being present inside of our skin) is the first step

Getting more comfortable with feeling emotion is the second

Recognizing the current blocks and stuck energy is the third

And at last comes release and relief
